Parents will be receiving information about a Penn State Study to assess student’s perspective on the school climate and their sense of being connected to the school.  Students will be filling out a short survey.  Click here to print an OPT-OUT form to indicate that you do not want your student to participate in the survey.  Return this OPT-OUT form to your student’s teacher by Wednesday, October 29th.
Cyber-spiders invade BIS!
Cyber-spiders invade BIS!
4th Grade students in Mrs. Steffanina’s Computer Class created spiders using drawing tools in PowerPoint.  They learned about Freeform, Outline Color, Outline Weight, Rotate, Scribble, Shape Fill, Shape Effects, Shape Outline, Shape Size, and the Undo icon.
Spiders were printed and mounted on recycled CDs.
Click on the teacher’s name below to see a PDF file of the spiders.

BIS is an EPA School Flag Program School

Want to know the air quality outside today?  Just look at the flagpole at BIS.
BIS is the first school in Beaver County to participate in the Environmental Protection Agency's School Flag Program.

Each day a 4th grade student will check the Air Quality Index on the AIRNow website.

A different colored Flag will be risen based on that rating.  Click Here to read more about the program.
