Blackhawk School District Picnic at Kennywood Park
The Blackhawk School District Picnic will be held at Kennywood Park in West Mifflin, PA on June 9, 2014.  Tickets will be on sale in all Blackhawk school buildings on May 8, 2014.  Tickets will be $25.  For more information, please click on the link below.

Applications available for Pre-K Program
Blackhawk School District offers a Pre-Kindergarten Program (Pre-K) to those children who qualify.  The Pre-K Program will be located at Blackhawk Intermediate School.  Acceptance is based on income and at-risk factors.  Classes will begin at the start of each school year, Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM- 1:30 PM.  Applications for the 2014-2015 school year are being accepted.

Blackhawk will implement BYOT in 2013-14 School Year
Blackhawk will implement a BYOT initiative (Bring Your Own Technology) at Highland Middle School and will pilot this initiative at Blackhawk High School beginning in the 2013-14 school year.  Bring your own technology will allow students to use their own personal technology devices to support their learning during instruction.  Click on the link below to view a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) document regarding this initiative.
